Looking for a fresh way to showcase how your organisation is making the City of Joburg a good place? Look no further. We were given the opportunity to
occupy a stand at the very first Good Place Market on the 9th of March. The ethos of this market is to host organisations, people and businesses who are making a difference in Johannesburg. It was established by Jawbone, a dynamic activations agency, and City Green, a unique venue situated in bustling Johannesburg North, bordering Fourways.
The day was a lively one, to say the least. An array of vendors, including NGO’s, artists and artisanal entrepreneurs were accompanied by food trucks, excellent coffee, a bar and live music. The epic play area and Lego pit kept children entertained for hours. The market was also pet-friendly, so a few fur-babies were spotted lapping up attention. All this attracted a diverse attendance, presenting a great opportunity for exposure.
We harnessed this time in a variety of ways. Sharing what we do encouraged cyclists to join Team Philile to #RideForAPurpose in the 947 Cycle Challenge 2019. We also explained to people how they can join MySchool My Village My Planet and select The Philile Foundation as one of their beneficiaries, and make every swipe count. Beyond that, we shared about some of our projects and established new connections and leads.
We are so grateful to Jawbone and City Green for a refreshing experience and unique awareness opportunity. We love the inspiration behind A Good Place Market and look forward to the next one.
